I always had an attraction to asymmetry in relation to the body. My oldest child started walking strange with a hip and shoulder that appeared to be elevated, and I had my chiropractor check it out. Ultimately, she was diagnosed with scoliosis and I witnessed her curvature decrease approximately 50 % with just chiropractic care and exercises. It fascinated me. When I went back to school for a kinesiology degree, we had a guest speaker from Parker Chiropractic College talk about chiropractic and the requirements to enter the program. A light bulb went off in my spirit. Here I am…doing what I am called to do!
When I can look into the eyes of a patient, empathize, and tell them I have their back (literally) and their eyes show trust, my heart smiles because I know I will give my very best to help get them well. There is no greater feeling than to serve in all that I have. My experience not only includes extensive studies but my physical injuries that I have endured also serve as a learning tool to help others with similar injuries.
TXHC has an environment of joy and fun-loving interactions. I see patients laughing, cutting up and I am grateful for the genuineness of the care they are receiving. It’s a supportive team from top to bottom. The level of care given to the patients is seen from the time they walk in until they leave.
